Description
Trying to cause the "Crash changing Mac display configuration" bug by plugging and unplugging a second display. No luck. Tried combinations of full screen mode, lock screen, sleep, dragging out tool windows, ....
There is a report of this crash on the web

The 3 most recent reports of this crash are in

I tested for 60 minutes disconnecting and reconnecting my Samsung 2560x1440 display from my MacBookPro 18,2 M1 Max using USBC to DisplayPort connection and ChimeraX May 14 release candidate and it never crashed. Tried combinations of floating windows, iconified, let Mac sleep, full-screen, unplug+replug or open laptop screen, start with laptop open or closed, ....
Surveying the crash reports it seems Intel Macs with AMD graphics are over-represented and ARM Macs are underrepresented. Display resolution of 2K and 4K are used. Many say using USB/Thunderbolt connection. Several different display manufacturers are seen.

I was able to reproduce and work around this Qt 6.6 crash as detailed in ticket #15277.

I was not able to reproduce crash #15200, #15186, #15175, #15168, #14947, #14861, #14831. They all are with Qt 6.6.2 or 6.6.3 and the earliest is from March 2024. There are many other crashes in ChimeraX 1.6.1 with Qt 6.4 in QTabBar::paintEvent() that disappeared with Qt 6.6 and were not in Qt 6.3. The recent Qt 6.6 display crashes were with macOS 14.2, 14.4 and 14.5.
