They look like thorns coming out of the atoms. open 2gbp hide ligand :<5 ribbons Note thorns on a several C and N atoms. Going to show VR of a binding site like this on Friday to a large group (dozen people) from Peter Walter lab and Genentech. Would be nice if fixed by them. Fixed in ec5804859.
Tethers were always displayed for visible backbone atoms. Now the ribbon for those atoms must be displayed as well.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
Still broken in Dec 11, 2018 daily build.
Here's a more explicit example
open 2gpb
sel :142
hide sel ribbon
Note that the tether is still shown for the selected residue :142.
