Description

The following bug report has been submitted:
Platform: Darwin-17.7.0-x86_64-i386-64bit
ChimeraX Version: 0.8 (2018-09-25)
Description
Tethers are still show after ribbon is hidden. They look like thorns coming out of the atoms.

open 2gbp
hide ligand :<5 ribbons

Note thorns on a several C and N atoms.

Going to show VR of a binding site like this on Friday to a large group (dozen people) from Peter Walter lab and Genentech. Would be nice if fixed by them.

Still broken in Dec 11, 2018 daily build.

Here's a more explicit example

open 2gpb
sel :142
hide sel ribbon

Note that the tether is still shown for the selected residue :142.

Resolution: fixed

Fixed in ec5804859.

Tethers were always displayed for visible backbone atoms. Now the ribbon for those atoms must be displayed as well.
