• UNASSIGNED will compose a message for chimera-users list describing the features to be removed in a post-1.3 release

• Everyone will examine grant proposal and put ideas on what should go into 1.4 onto Chimera wiki

Previous Action Items

• Scooter will send out the current library course schedule and everyone will respond with updates and/or splitting into multiple sessions (item 1)
• Conrad, Eric, Greg and Scooter have tasks for Chimera production release and conversion to svn/trac

• Conrad will look into disabling stereo in orthographic view

2. Release 1.3 Status (All)
   • A fix to Morph will be added to 1.3 by Conrad.
   • Changing mmCIF monomer template distribution will be targeted for 1.4.

3. IRIX machine location (Conrad)

• Al will move euler to any convenient workstation.

4. Release 1.4 Planning Meeting (Scooter, tef)

• Planning meeting will be in N474B on December 2 from 9am to 1pm.
• Everyone should get ideas about what goes into 1.4 on to Chimera wiki.

5. Evaluation of features to remove or improve (All)
   • Greg and Elaine advocated sending separate messages to chimera-users announcing the list of features to be removed and release 1.3. Users are more likely to miss one or the other if only a single message is sent. Everyone agreed to this. The removal list announcement should go out first, followed by the release 1.3 announcement.
   • There was no consensus regarding usage statistics collection. Although everyone agreed that it would be useful to have the stats, there was no agreement on when the collection should be done (with bug report, at registration, periodically were three possibilities). The usefulness of the statistics is affected by the collection time because the data may be biased by which users are sampled.
