+Darrell: the end of an era. No plan for contract support through Guidehouse starting tomorrow. Other mechanism (supplement to R01) may still be viable.

+TomF: we have pursued that and sent a document but not heard back.

+Darrell: program officer is waiting for you to send a document, call it an extension. No need to mention NIAID specifically or to tailor the description to our interests. TomF: had not known that. Darrell: I hadn't conveyed it to you yet, was a recent development. Would be happy to take a look at your draft.  Should be before mid-April but best to get on it ASAP and send it before then. We're all trying to find a way to "yes", process goes through NIGMS even though the funds would come from NIAID.  Should be teed up for you. Level of support probably less than previous, but still significant.  Meghan: best to avoid mentioning covid, vaccines, and other potentially touchy subject areas.  Darrell: cryoEM is important, and AI advances. Should be same things as already in your R01 but saying that recent advances require more attention, time, and funding than provided by the existing R01. TomG: Boltz and other developments based on AlphaFold.  Everybody: sounds ideal!

+Darrell: how would you like to set up meetings going forward?  What other meetings to you have?  TomF: our weekly group meeting Thurs 11am. TomG: our weekly ChimeraX programmer meeting Mon 3pm. Our usual approach is to have ad hoc meetings, drop-ins. Please feel free to email us anytime and we can set up Zoom meetings as needed.

+Meghan, Darrell: ChimeraX is now in our software center and we plan to have demonstrations, and maybe even encourage other institutes to take a similar approach.  Greg: We are thinking of changing how the license agreement works, may work better for this kind of setup in the future.
