+NIH3D AlphaFold quick submit update will be released to the public soon!  The user interface has been improved to handle the greatly increased number of models.
 
 Phil has also used the Foldseek tool, Ligands option and found it useful.  When is 1.9 supposed to be out?  ChimeraX team: before the end of the year.

+NIAID has ChimeraX 1.8 in their software store users can install it without NIAID IT support.  Want to do the same for 1.9 when it comes out.
 
 Phil: can we view a NAMD trajectory in VR? TomG: there are various tips to improve performance, e.g. sticks instead of ribbons. ISOLDE has pretty good performance because it just does the MD in a localized area. ChimeraX also has a right-mouse jiggle function but it calculates over the whole structure. There is a "play coordinates" right mouse mode to play a trajectory that can be used in VR. Maybe it would help to display a zone as a one-time thing (rather than at every frame). Eric: the waters may drift away and you wouldn't be able to see the new ones coming in.
