5656TomG: will the people who don't fit in the room be able to attend via Zoom? Meghan: so far we haven't set it up that way.

58 Zach: I can make pre-recordings of my presentation tonight so we can make those available.  Phil: if Zach is willing, can do the presentation twice.  Zach: maybe I could do a shorter version, for the reprise after TomG's demo, for the people who wanted to go to both his and mine. Meghan: need to find out whether these rooms are close to the terrace, as to whether we can easily send people from one to the other. Karlynn: hallway, terrace is up stairs, classrooms are down. I think rooms 1/2 are under terrace, rooms 3-5 on the left.  Meghan: maybe I can come by on Tuesday and evaluate the spaces, leave TVs on terrace. Are we concerned about leaving them there overnight?  Will ask the staff about that.

TomG will bring Windows laptop and Quest3. Asks about wifi for file transfer to Quest. Meghan: we will only have guest wifi which is not reliable.
     59
60Elaine: maybe Phil can assist with showing VR for medical imaging. Phil: yes, and Yasmine has also done that.
     61
62Phil: Tom and Zach, what will we be showing in the headsets? Can you give us sessions to preload on our systems?  TomG: maybe Covid main protease + paxlovid.  Phil: please send sessions before Tuesday. TomG: will do. Zach: I don't have a session yet, will make one and send it. We usually use RIDER lung data.
     63
64Meghan: there is a cafeteria/coffee shop and I will bring snacks. Thurs/Fri we can pick up lunch, order out.  For a dinner out Tuesday may be good, Meghan and Phil would be available. Wednesday probably too tiring. TomG: sounds good to us, but you can decide, it may be a long day for you. Phil: it will be good to meet up and settle any last-minute logistics.  Phil: even though hotel is close to campus, it will take a while to park, get through security, etc., so factor that in.  It will be early mornings for you.
     65
66Thoughts on Vision Pro.  Phil: amazing, high-resolution pass-through video, better than Quest3. Had some issues with eye tracking, but I was wearing glasses. You have to really maintain your gaze on the object you are selecting. TomG: where? Phil: at our meeting in Illinois. TomG: documentation says is not mean to be used with glasses. Meghan: there is stuff coming out at you, which can be terrifying, but you can't walk out into it. Discussion of recording from headset and narrow field of view.
     67
68Meghan: we'll be in the lab on Tuesday. Let us know if you think of things you need (equipment, etc.). Phil: please keep us apprised of your travel plans, whether/when you will be available for dinner. TomG: Will do. Don't know about Scooter if he's on Copenhagen time, but I'll be game. Meghan: oh Phil, we need to invite David Chen.  He worked on Visible Human, does image analysis, ...
