Discussion
- Drop macOS 10.15 and 10.14 for ChimeraX 1.7?
- Qt 6.5 requires a minimum macOS 11
- Current ChimeraX 1.6 supports macOS 10.15 and 10.14
- Should we updated to Qt 6.5 and drop macOS 10 support?
- Qt 6.5 fixes a crash reported almost every day on Mac with dual displays (Qt 6.3 also fixes it. Only Qt 6.4 crashes.)
- 8% of Mac Trac bug reports are macOS 10.15 and 10.14
- Greg looked at check for updates logs, also appears 8% of Mac users are coming from 10.15 or 10.14.
- Want to look at check for updates logs to see if 10.15 and 10.14 users have updated to ChimeraX 1.6
- Elaine's office iMac is at 10.15 and cannot be updated (2012 model)
- Eric's office laptop is at 10.15 and may be updateable (2015 model) and Elaine could use it until a new machine is purchased.
- Choice is between Qt 6.5 and macOS 11 requirement, or revert to Qt 6.3 and macOS 10.14 minimum required.
- Look at check for updates fraction on current ChimeraX 1.6 before deciding.
- ChimeraX manuscript
- Elaine is editing and trimming, removed 300 words today.
- Discussed what PAE domains were used in fitting section.
- Discussed removing fitmap discussion -- leave in since it is widely cited and is only discussed for a few sentences.
Action Items

- Beta releases on Toolshed - make ticket for this. Greg
