• John Hopkins image segmentation
  • Scooter and Selina described a medical image segmentation competition and collaboration possiblity with John Hopkins
  • They have access to 16000 data sets at John Hopkins (abdomen CT), and datasets from other sources are available, totaling 46000.
  • Selina may need a PHI account to work with some of the data.

• UCSF machine learning initiative
  • Campus wide ML initiative for biomedical applications.
  • Holding 3 half-day retreats.
  • First retreat on clinical applications already held.
  • Second retreat on research applications, Scooter will attend, also Jaime Fraser, and Tanja Kortemme.
  • Scooter is on Infrastruture and Talent committee.
  • Scooter promoting UCSF getting GPT4 license.

  • Would like a rough draft by end of next week before Tom Ferrin goes on vacation.
  • Plan is to submit a few days into August after Tom Ferrin and Scooter are back from vacations.
