  • Several ChimeraX 1.7 bugs reported 1 day after release.
  • Evaluating whether 1.7.1 release is needed.
  • Startup fails if initial window size setting is "maximized".
  • C-alpha only PDB does not show ribbon.
  • computedSheets option gives error, uninstalled pprint module.
  • session restore error with Tasks

• New hardware
  • Elaine's new iMac computer is being delivered today.
  • TomG's new Mac Studio arrived two days ago and is in use.
  • New Quest 3 headset and docking station arrived and is setup. This is second Quest 3 headset.

• Travel
  • David Fay, associate directory of University of Wyoming NIH INBRE resource center setting up AlphaFold for researchers using their data science core facility.
  • Asked if TomG will visit and give AlphaFold training and discuss how to setup on cluster.
  • Visit to NIAID at NIH in January or February to be discussed later today at NIAID meeting.

  • Phenix improvements, locating phenix install, fit loops, emplace local
  • Demonstrated emplace local with symmetry on an adeno-associated virus.
  • Finding diatom types for SPICE small molecule database in order to train a machine learning charge prediction network with Tristan. Problems with pH dependent valency.

• Selina's internship
  • Selina will continue as an intern for 3 more months in 2024 before reaching maximum intern hours.
