Discussion

  • Chimera 1.15 release
    • Target release was today (12/3/2020)
    • Hold at least one week to see if we can get more information on the XGrabKeyboard bug
    • Check to see if it's already been reported on the Tk debug list.
  • ChimeraX
    • PySide2
      • Daily builds switched from PyQt5 to PySide2 last night.
      • Could update from 15.1 to 15.2
    • Parallel make for nightly builds
      • Decision: standard builds will be single-threaded, but we will also do a parallel build so make sure the dependency order is correct.
    • Toolshed bundles don't work
      • Several bundles on toolshed allow install but don't work in daily build (TEMPy, RMF, ISOLDE).
      • Check that core dependency is reasonable when approving bundles
      • Allow toolshed admin to change bundle required versions to prevent offering install of abandoned non-functioning bundles.
  • Christmas card
    • Will go with Tom's image. He's going to do some more fiddling, possible snowflake background.
  • SPOKE
    • Elaine -- Arrg!!!
  • Funding
    • Try for R24.
    • Talk to NIAID program project officer to see if NIAID R24 or NIGMS R24 makes more sense.
    • NETE
      • UCSF accounting not providing Scooter info about what they billed for.

  • Put important feature enhancements, already done or planned, on roadmap. TomG, Eric, Elaine, Greg
  • Make roadmap publicly visible, currently needs login. Scooter
