    • Eric and Greg very kindly volunteered to fix the bad links and contents of the installation instructions
  • ChimeraX
    • Documentation and tutorial strategy
      • Bundle-specific documentation should be placed into docs directory in package
      • Bundle-specific documentation should be kept in bundle
    • Linux installers for ChimeraX
      • ChimeraX 0.7 release deb files for Ubuntu are ready and will be added to download page
      • Redhat/CentOS rpm files are close and 0.7 files can be built using the 0.7 git tag
    • distlib vs modern Python packaging
      • We could not use latest setuptools/wheel/pip because we use distlib in toolshed code
      • Update all ChimeraX-Core dependencies from 0.7 to 0.8 once we move from distlib to pkg_resources
    • Need to move to PyQt5 5.11 to get Vulkan support
      • May also minimize CSS warnings in log
      • Greg will build installers
    • Move to Python 3.7 after Conrad's toolshed changes are done

Action Items

  • Conrad will make sure that ChangeLog is up to date
  • Greg will widen Chimera check-update dialog so dot release link will still be visible
