Changes between Initial Version and Version 2 of Ticket #19945

I am unfamiliar with the undockable list. But to rephrase the problem, it is due to an explicit multi-value setting overriding the default, but the default multi-value has changed. And the desire is for the explicitly saved setting to be a difference from the default instead of simply overriding it, so changes to the default appear in the settings value.

    67I made tool "Mutation scores plot" start floating instead of docked because it is typically large.  And I added it to the default UI settings undockable list.  The trouble is since I years ago changed the Shell to be undockable, my UI undockable settings are not at the default values.  So the "Mutation scores plot" starts dockable.  I also see other tools were added to UI undockable defaults "Help Viewer" and "Color Key".  But those were apparently added after I changed my Shell setting to undockable, so also those are unfortunately dockable in my ChimeraX.

    89So it seems that changing the default value of a Settings instance in a new ChimeraX release will not have the desired effect.  Not sure how or if this can be fixed.
