    1 I confirm on my MacBook Pro windowsize 9000 9000 crashes with the same MTL error.  7000 7000 does not crash (and makes width 7000 but height just 800).  8000 8000 crashes. 15000 15000 crashes.  Also 100000 100000 crashes but with a different traceback.

    33So it takes very large sizes to crash.  But there seems to be no protection against a crash even for extremely large sizes.
