[Chimera-users] use Chimplug

You would get Chimera to "see" the plugin by installing the plugin anywhere you'd like, for instance inside a folder named "chimera-plugins" in your home directory.  Then start Chimera and use Favorites->Add to Favorites/Toolbar to bring up the Tools preferences interface.  In the "Locations" part of that panel use "Add…" to add the folder above the plugin (i.e. in the example, ~/chimera-plugins, rather than ~/chimera-plugins/ChimPlug).  Click Save in the preferences dialog to have the change apply to future uses of Chimera rather than just your current session.  The ChimPlug should show up in the Tools menu somewhere.

As per Elaine, I don't know how you would use ChimPlug specifically, but maybe getting it running in Chimera will give you some clues  (maybe there'll be a Help button?!?)…
