[Chimera-users] Saving Sessions with surface data

Hi Arjun,

Unfortunately Chimera does not remember the opened STL files in saved sessions. I have fixed this so tonight’s Chimera daily build will preserve the STL surfaces in session files. It will not be reading the original STL file when you load the session, instead the surface data, color, transparency is saved directly in the session file.

The program does not report any errors and even says "Done opening SESSION.py". It seems that the program never loaded the surface files. How does Chimera know where the surface files are located? I saw no mention of their location inside the session PY file.
