The command cd changes the current working directory to the specified directory, or if nothing is specified, to the user's home directory. The result is reported in the Log. Substituting the word browse for directory brings up a file browser window for choosing the location interactively. Alternatively, dragging and dropping the icon for a file or directory into the Command Line Interface substitutes the corresponding pathname text.
The command pwd simply reports the working directory without changing it. See also: open, save
