= Discussion =

* Release candidates
 - Zach made release branch and started release candidates last Friday.
 - We installed on windows, worked, has correct version number 1.11rc2025....

* Windows installer signing
 - The Windows ChimeraX release candidate and daily builds are being signed with new certificate.
 - Testing today showed the release candidate installer still says "Don't run" and requires clicking More Info... then Run Anyway.
 - Under More Info it now says the publisher is UC San Francisco.
 - Greg believes we have an "EV" certificate meaning that we do not need to build reputation through downloads.
 - An online site said an EV certificate can take a few days before Windows SmartScreen recognized the thumbprint avoiding the "Don't run".
 - We will check later this week or next to see if the "Don't run" message goes away.
 - In the mean time Greg is putting a message on the Download page warning about the Don't run message and saying to press More Info....
