= Agenda =

* ChimeraX 1.6 release progress.
* Make Chimera release about same time as ChimeraX 1.6.
  - Opal will be shutdown on plato around mid-May, so release before that.
* Python updating plan, binary releases only available 1.5 years after each release.
* Chimera/ChimeraX notarization scripts need updating, Apple deprecated altool command Fall 2023 [https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/trac/ChimeraX/ticket/7234 #7234]
* ChimeraX Ideas milestone clean-up.
* Install Splunk on plato to monitor web services.
* Back up the Chimera build machine to a solid state drive, Windows 7?
* Toolshed bundle requirement checking
* Discuss possible OpenMM and VR improvements for Tristan and Altos to pursue

= Discussion =

* Reading UTF-16 and UTF-32 files
  - Eric says SEQCROW gets errors reading utf-16 Orca files
  - bundle_info.xml declares the file is utf-8
  - Eric has made the utf-8 reading fallback to utf-16 and then utf-32 if unicode decode errors raised during read.
  - Should it go in 1.6 branch?  Decided no, only daily build.

* ChimeraX 1.6 release progress
  - Release candidates started about a week ago.
  - Tom fixed blank gui panels on deiconify on Mac
  - Tom suppressed setDarkBorderToWindow warning at startup on Windows.
  - Zach looking at nfti brain scan data that displays as solid black in image style, 1e-9 scaled values.
  - Looked at all 1.6 milestoned tickets, none required for release.
  - Zach remilestoned / closed his 1.6 tickets.
  - Greg on vacation until next week.
  - Tom going on vacation in 2 weeks.
  - Release must happen before May 1 for R01 grant annual report.

  - Present github continuous integration tutorial.  Zach
  - Beta releases on Toolshed - make ticket for this. Greg
