= Discussion Notes =

* Plato server operating system update
  - Eric needs to update backup scripts from Python 2 to 3.
  - A ChimeraX web update script is still broken, probably python 2
  - Tom Ferrin and Greg will talk about getting Topo 2 web pages online.

* Phenix R24 fit_loops command
  - Eric implementing ChimeraX command for Phenix fit_loops developed by Tom Terwilliger.
  - Takes 3 minutes to run typical example with 1 core.
  - Should be able to run with multiple cores but option is not working.
  - Eric is sending other bugs to Phenix team.
  - Plan is to make a gui interface after command is working.
  - GUI will have many fewer than the 50 options of the Phenix command.

* Phenix R24 emplace_local command
  - Randy Read has enhanced his fitting command emplace_local so it can work with a single map instead of two half maps.  Less reliable, requires resolution.
  - Eric is adapting ChimeraX command and GUI to handle this case.

* ChimeraX improvements
  - Eric described several ChimeraX improvements in his [wiki:phenix-6-1-23 slides].
