* Summer intern
  - Tom Ferrin will contact potential summer intern Selina Liu.
  - Possible project is machine learning medical image segmentation.
  - Another possible project is machine learning clustering.
  - If Selina interested Scooter, Zach and TomG can have Zoom meeting with her.
  - For medical imaging, Zach may work on visualization while Selina works on algorithm.
  
* NIAID new contract
  - Contract still not started.  Held up by GuideHouse contractor.

* Greg discussing email and operating system upgrades
  - CGL primary and backup will be updated next week from CentOS 7 to Rocky 9.
  - !ProofPoint Essentials will filter incoming email from off campus.
  - !ProofPoint will do spam/phishing/virus filtering.
  - Attachment size limit will likely be 150 MB.
  - Greg setting up Rocky 9 virtual machine to test everything.
  - Rocky 9 does not support old ssh DSA keys.
  - Greg testing all mail filters, compiling for Rocky 9.
  - Need to setup antivirus on Rocky 9 and get firewall excemption.
  - Email will switch from sendmail to better supported postfix.
  - CGL cluster als handles DNS, redirectory, time server, and has cluster fail over.
  - Scooter suggests making git repository for email/dns/... scripts.
  - UCSF IT will consider GSuite google email as an option alternative to Microsoft Exchange.
  - Plato will be updated to Rocky 8 after CGL email.  Rocky 9 is not compatible with current BeeGFS version.

* Wynton
  - Scooter says Rocky 8 update postponed until 5.
  - Will still have one day downtime during May power outage.
