= Discussion Notes =

* Trac problems
  - ChimeraX Trac tickets accessible a few times per week.
  - Malformed database.  Requires rebuilding database.
  - Often happens after email2trac fails.
  - Scooter wants to convert from sqlite to mysql backend.  Will need one day.
  - Scooter has improved pcs that monitors web services to reduce likelihood of timeout.

* Lab finances
  - Tom Ferrin and Scooter and Tara met a week ago after R01 summary received.
  - Finances adequate for all staff without R01 due to good licensing revenue.
  - Scooter talked to Hamish about R01 grant.  Don't know when is the next checkpoint for hiring.

* R01 grant resubmission
  - Everyone should read our proposal and the critiques.
  - Edit resubmission doc to mark places that need changes.

* On-site group meetings
  - Scooter suggests we try on-site group meetings at Mission Bay if covid-19 situation permits.

* !AlphaFold
  - Discussion of cloud vs self-hosting alphafold and other web services.
  - Should meet with Tanje Kortemme's group about alphafold.  She is giving macromethods class in January on how to use alphafold.
  - Also Adrian Apelin in Krogan lab is running alphafold on wynton.
  - Sam Li in Agard lab is running my singularity alphafold on wynton.
