= Attendees = * Zach, Eric, Elaine, Greg, TomG, Scooter, TomF = Agenda = * Review summary statement for R01 grant, Google doc (link sent by email) * ChimeraX 1.3 release progress. * Create ChimeraX 1.4 roadmap * New desktop computer hardware. * Review Action Items list below = Discussion Notes = * Wynton bgfs file system problems - Plato not responding right now, Trac not accessible. - Wynton admins working on it, recovered part way through this meeting. * R01 grant resubmission - Resubmission due date is March 5, 2021. - Even if our current R01 gets funding (1/3 chance?) it would likely have budget cut in half. So we still want to resubmit to hopefully get full budget. - Resubmission will be to Macromolecular Structure and Function C panel since MSFD is being disbanded at end of this year. - Scooter made copy of R01 proposal google doc. - First step is to mark parts of current proposal that need revision or addition, and mark parts that are strong and should be kept. - We are exactly at 12 page limit, so any addition must be balanced by deletion. - We are allowed 1 extra page for resubmission to explain how we addressed preview critique. * R01 grant addressing reviewer critique - Discussed 8 points in TomG's Google Doc summary of our R01 review. - Add !AlphaFold and possibly RoseTTAFold preliminary progress and plans. - Might consider asking for hardware for alphafold server. - Reduce local interactive MD discussion, focus on MD need for cryoEM / ISOLDE - Need to think how to do plugin quality control without taking lots of our time. * Cytoscape does not have quality filtering for submitted plugins - More fine-grain estimates of effort for tasks might help address comment that 2 programmers should be eliminated. This is critical. = Action Items = * Setup meeting with NIH R01 program officer to discuss resubmission, Tom Ferrin * Get certificate for https at rbvi.org. Greg * Renew certificate for https on vr.ucsf.edu. Greg * Set up 2-factor authentication for hal2 vpn - (waiting to see if VPN will even be allowed by campus IT) - Scooter * Document new vpn setup on Linux - Scooter
