* Computer security audit
  - We will move computers Alexander and Aristotle to wynton to avoid P4 security requirements which involves extensive management and paperwork due to large number of users (LDAP, kerberos).

* Collaboration opportunity
  - Scooter says Joe Derisi has zebrafish cell tracking in lightsheet microscopy at CZI, wants analysis and VR.
  - Joe will have his postdoc or student get in touch with TomG.

* Phenix R24 grant
  - TomG will send Eric and Zach phenix r24 doodle tech meeting link for next week.

* New hire
  - Scooter will get job offer going for Hamish, has talked to everyone in group.

* CZI essential software grant
  - CZI essential software grant meeting November 2-4, Zoom, Scooter and TomG will sign up, possible 10 minute talk and demo.

* Computer hardware
  - Scooter is looking for Nvidia 3090 (24 GB video memory) machine to buy for machine learning applications.
  - May purchase memory and NVMe disk later to keep cost within limits.
  - Can consider buying gpu node for wynton, ~$25K for 4 A40 GPUs, allows our lab to run gpu jobs > 2 hours and host ChimeraX user jobs.  First we need to test feasibility of ChimeraX user AlphaFold job submission.
  - qsub being installed on plato by wynton admins to submit jobs from plato, for use via a ChimeraX a web service.

* Zach onboarding
  - Send Zach links to funded ChimeraX grants.
  - Add Zach to google calendar, rbvi events.  Scooter did this.
