[Chimera-users] Chimera when saving as ray

Hi Shona,
I don't know what the "all determinants too small" message means, but the reply log suggests that it is continuing to work anyway, although slowly because the second line says it is still at line 979 of 6225. The scene being rendered must be very large and/or complex and if the line processing goes at a steady rate, it would take more than 6 times as long as it had already taken at the time you saved the image of the reply log.
Besides Chimera, you could also try ChimeraX which has some nice ambient-occlusion lighting that Chimera does not have. However, they are both limited in how well transparency is rendered, especially if there are multiple transparent layers/models.
Some ChimeraX example images:

I hope this helps,
Elaine

It is also taking a very long time - I assume this is because I have set surface transparency to 90% but is there anything I can do to speed up the saving as a ray? I tried saving as chimera but the image quality isn't as good.
