Hi Jie Yang,
Even though you accidentally did not allow access when it first asked (MacOS Catalina security behavior) you can change this setting later in the System Preferences.

Open System Preferences, go to Security & Privacy, click on Privacy tab, then in the left side find and click on Files and Folders. Then in the right side you can use checkboxes to allow different apps including Chimera permission to access Downloads and Desktop.

I hope this helps,
Elaine

Subject: Chimera can't open files

Hi there,

I have a problem that my Chimera can’t open/fetch .PDB files in my Mac(see attached). I believe the problem was because I accidentally denied access of Chimera to the Users/jieyang/Downloads. Could you let me know how should I reverse this? Thank you very much!

Best
Jie Yang
