[Chimera-users] Assigning id to a chain with no id

Hi Aleena,
Seems like it would be easier just to write your own script to add a chain ID to the PDB files than to do it with a python script in Chimera. All you have to do is replace the blank character at position 22 of ATOM and HETATM lines with A (or whatever you want the chain ID to be).

I hope this helps,
Elaine

I tried using 'changechain' command but I am getting error messages because I don't have any specific from-chain id. I don't know what exactly to give as from-chain id or is there any other command that could help me?
