Hi Lei,
I said in the previous reply that you could use Color Zone (it has a Split Map button) if you already had an atomic structure placed into that domain of the density map.
<http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/colorzone/colorzone.html>
However, maybe you don’t already have the atomic structure placed into the map. In that case, some other tools that might be useful are:
Segment Map (Segger)
<http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/segger/segment.html>
<https://github.com/gregdp/segger/wiki>
Volume Eraser
<http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/voleraser/voleraser.html>
These tools I mention are all in the main menu under Tools… Volume Data, and also in the Volume Viewer menu: Tools.
I hope this helps,
Elaine

Now, I have tried to split a special part from a whole map with the methods of surface zone (done) and vop multiply (still trying), but I found that the effect was not satisfactory. Is there some way to split a map much more real,accurate and precise as possible. Thank your very much!
