[Chimera-users] ChimeraX x Chimera feature comparison?

Hi Gustavo,
There is no such detailed list. Bear in mind that ChimeraX is changing daily and not yet in beta release. There is a (very) short list of “Missing Fatures” in the ChimeraX download page, but it is not comprehensive.

You might make for yourself a list of what you use in Chimera, then scan down the ChimeraX User Guide index, which will give you a good idea of what is available now. I’m updating the guide almost daily as the code changes.

There is also a ChimeraX change log, but again no 1-for-1 comparison, and it only includes major things.

Finally, is there any harm in having both programs on your computer?? Each has abilities the other does not, and we expect this to be true for quite a while. There may be some things in Chimera we decide never to include in ChimeraX, and ChimeraX already has some capabilities that are not in Chimera.

Best,
Elaine

However, I’m actually looking for a comparison that can tell what features are currently on Chimera that are *not* in ChimeraX, to consider if there is any reason to keep both in the computer.
