[Chimera-users] addaa

Welcome to Chimera!  

You can just follow the “addaa” command description in the manual page.  The italics in the “Usage” part mean that you are supposed to substitute some value.  The table in the manual page shows the possible values of “conformation”:

For example, if your N-term is residue 12 in chain A of model 0, you want to add the new residue as number 11.  Let’s say you want a phenylalanine in the alpha-helix conformation.  Then the command would be something like:

addaa phe,11,alpha  #0:12.A
