[Chimera-users] Windows & dialogues outside the screen

Hi Hernando,
	Do these dialogs really appear completely off screen?  How do you even know they’re there?  Do you have a second screen?
	Anyway, I have a couple of things that may help.  If the dialog isn’t in fact completely off screen but is instead buried under other windows, you can bring up the Rapid Access screen (lightning bolt icon near the lower right of the main Chimera window) which will list the current dialogs on its left side.  Clicking on the button for the dialog you want will raise it to the top.
	The other thing is that you can turn off Chimera’s attempt to “tile place” new dialogs, which may be forcing some off the screen in your case (it shouldn’t AFAIK, but might help anyway).  You turn of tiling by bring up Preferences (Favorites->Preferences) and changing “Try to avoid placing dialogs over main window” from true to false.  Click “Save” afterward to keep the change in later Chimera sessions.
