[Chimera-users] cutting the structure

Hi Dmitry,
I’m not sure exactly what you mean. If you mean you want to delete parts of the atomic models, you can use the “delete” command including a specification of what you want to delete,

for example:
delete solvent
delete #1:.a
(delete solvent, delete model 1 chain A, respectively… you can see which files are which models by looking in the Model Panel, shown from Favorites menu, and which chains are which by holding the cursor over them)
...or if you have selected the parts you want to delete, the menu: Actions… Atoms/Bonds… delete. Just be careful because deleting is irreversible. You may want to save session first just in case so you can go back.
