Hi Arthur,
Registration is not connected with how the software works. Whether you are registered or not has no effect on the function of the program. Lots of people never register, although we like it when they do!
Everybody’s registration expires after a while. I just re-register when that expiration message appears. You can re-register by simply clicking a button on that dialog, or choosing “Help… Registration…” from the Chimera menu.
