[Chimera-users] Changing default framerate of Animation tool

Hi Juan,
In the recording dialog you get from clicking on the record icon, there is an “Additional encoding options” field. In that field you can put the same options that you could put in the “movie encode” command. One of those options is “framerate” followed by an integer indicating the frames-per-second playback rate. The “Nth frame for discrete transitions” is that frame that non-continuous changes (like changing atoms/bonds from ball-and-stick to sphere) should occur at. All this is described in the documentation that is linked from the Help button on the Animate tool itself and the record dialog.
If the only thing in your animation is a trajectory, you might want to consider using the MD Movie’s File->Record movie… menu entry to record your movie. You could have commands (like “~disp solvent”) executed at particular frame numbers by using that dialog’s Per-Frame menu scripting capabilities.
