[Chimera-users] running script + recording movie

Dear Dmitry,
After you have created a script to show what you want to show in the movie, you can add movie-recording commands to the script itself.  In other words, you would add a “movie record [other options...]” command where you want to start recording and “movie encode [...]” command at the end.  You would execute the script the same way you do now, simply by opening the script file in Chimera.

Although you could try to use the Movie Recorder graphical interface to start recording as near as possible to when you opened your original script and then stop recording as near as possible to when the script finishes, in practice this is difficult to synchronize. It works much better to control the recording from the same script.
