[Chimera-users] Color Isosurface in Chimera

Hi Gregor,

  It sounds like you are trying to use the Chimera color zone dialog to color one part of a surface, then use it again to color a second part of the same surface.  Then you would see the first colored area become uncolored when you do the second coloring.  Color zone always recolors the entire surface.  So you need to color all the markers or atoms for coloring all the surface regions and use color zone just one time to do the coloring.  It would be nice if you could do a sequence of colorings but currently that is not supported.
