Yes and yes -- it would be a silly tool if those were not possible.
Next to "Marker set" at the top is a little menu from which you can
choose the name of the marker set you want to work with. Then when
you add more, they will be in that set. How you add more depends on
your "Mouse" settings (can be shown on the dialog with "Features...
Mouse mode options" in the Volume Tracer menu).
The marker note (show in dialog with "Features... Marker notes") goes
with whichever marker is selected. You would just Ctrl-click to
select the marker and then add a note, or if it already has one,
change it to something else. If more than one marker is selected, you
can change all their notes at the same time.
