[Chimera-users] making ribbon representaiton

Hi Bala,
Currently there is no way to draw a ribbon or smooth tube for P-only
nucleic acid chains. It is the same situation as for the CA-only
peptide chains. There is already a request (#3781) in our tracking
database to allow drawing ribbons for CA-only peptides, and you are on
the notification list for when something is done about this. I will
update that request to mention P-only nucleic acid chains, and that a
tube (which does not require calculation of residue orientations) may
suffice.

I can only suggest showing the P-trace as sticks, which I agree does
not look as nice as a smooth tube.
Best,
Elaine
