Hi Sebastian,
Chimera does not read maps from GRID. Here are the map formats that
Chimera knows about:

Because you used filename extensions we assigned to other formats as
shown in that table, Chimera tried to read the file as those formats
(which it is not, hence the errors).
Also, I do not know what is happening with your chimera-users
