I'm not sure what changed or why just clicking on the executable ever
worked. The Linux installer needs to be run inside a terminal/shell
window. So start up your favorite terminal emulator (eg., xterm),
cd to the directory with the chimera installer (eg., cd Desktop),
make the chimera installer executable (chmod +x chimera-1.2422-linux.exe),
then run it (./chimera-1.2422-linux.exe) and answer the question about
where you want to install it.
