We haven't seen this bug before, please file a bug report, 
<http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/feedback.html>, with as much 
information as possible about your setup.  In particular, send me the 
output from the dxdiag program (Start / Run ... / dxdiag, and then
press the "Save All Information" button to save the information to a text 
file and attach that text file), and please include the exact text of the 
error message.
