[Chimera-users] streaks in Chimera image of virus electron density map

Hi Lu,
	You are the third person I know of to experience this behavior.  
Unfortunately, none of the machines in our lab exhibit the behavior 
(nor any machines running Chimera at UCSF, AFAIK).  Can you tell me 
what machine and OS you are using, and what release of Chimera?  You 
could also provide a sample problem image; it might be of help.
	In at least one case, turning off supersampling eliminated the 
streaks/lines across the image.  Of course, the image will look a 
little worse since edges won't be as smooth as when supersampling is 
on, but it may well still be good enough.  You turn off supersampling 
by using the "Image Setup" button on the image save panel and changing 
the supersampling setting to "1x1".  You would also want to make your 
Chimera window as large as possible to try to get the best resolution 
you can to somewhat offset the loss of supersampling.
