[chimera-dev] PPC Linux...

We are not planning to compile a PPC Linux version, but we are planning to
make a source code release someday :-). But if I were you, I'd install
Mac OS X or get a PC because it doesn't look like the graphics hardware
vendors (ATI, NVidia) are going to release PPC Linux drivers and Mesa is
too slow (and historically too buggy). Of course too slow depends on what
you're trying to do, small molecules would be fine.

As for PDB files, go to the source, www.rcsb.org. Chimera's open file
dialog can fetch any PDB file by the 4 letter code. Or you can download
the file and open it (save without compression and give it a .pdb suffix).

	Hope this helps,
