Microsoft Outlook 2003 Setup Notes

Information for Microsoft Outlook e-mail clients.

New Account Walkthrough

Start Microsoft Outlook application and setup your account.

• First type in your name, e-mail address, incoming and outgoing mail servers, user name and password, and then press More Settings....

  

• The General and Connection are fine:

  

• The Outgoing Server settings are fine:

  

• The Advanced settings need to change to use encrypted connections (first) and different port numbers (Outlook 2007 uses TLS for the outgoing server encyption):

  

• Then when you press OK on the Internet E-mail Settings dialog, and Next > on the E-mail Account dialog, it changes to:

  

• Then press Finish and Outlook is ready for CGL e-mail.
