Hi, Bruno.
The answer is a weak "yes". The problem is caused by Apple's way of dealing with backwards compatibility that is incompatible with most common practices. We have made the main ChimeraX application run on 10.11, but some parts (like opening HDF files or making movies) will not work on 10.11. They do work on 10.12 and newer. Sorry.
