The saved positions do not include the 2D labels. See the description of what is in a position here:<br>
<<a href="http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/savepos.html" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/savepos.html</a>><br>
<br>
To include the 2D labels in your movie, there are two general approaches:<br>
<br>
(1) control 2D labels separately using 2dlabel commands<br>
<<a href="http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/2dlabels.html" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/2dlabels.html</a>><br>
… example movie command scripts with 2dlabel commands:<br>
<<a href="http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/movies.html#examples" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/movies.html#examples</a>> … see <a href="http://1gfl.com" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">1gfl.com</a> (plain text file of Chimera commands)<br>
<<a href="http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/animations/animations.html#trmovie" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/animations/animations.html#trmovie</a>> … see <a href="http://trmovie.com" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">trmovie.com</a> (plain text file of Chimera commands)<br>
<br>
(2) save and restore scenes (which include 2D labels) instead of positions, with “scene” command or using Animation tool. <br>
<<a href="http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/scene.html" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/scene.html</a>><br>
<<a href="http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/animation/frameanimation.html" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/animation/frameanimation.html</a>><br>
<br>
Generally I just use approach #1 when I am making a movie using a command script. If you are using the graphical Animation interface, you would probably save scenes instead, approach #2. Using scenes is not hard, but each scene you save makes the session file that includes the scenes larger, and if you have many scenes, the session file can be huge.<br>
<br>
I hope this helps,<br>
