One idea is to make several closely spaced concentric spheres and color each with transparency. Another would be to spherically clip the map surface leaving everything within the sphere showing. I’ve attached example images (EMDB 6555) and command scripts that do these. You should change the command file suffix to “.cmd” instead of “.txt” if you want to open them in Chimera.
