Hi Christoph,

I have confirmed that that, on Windows 7 64-bit, the lastest NVidia
Quadro drivers, 258.96, still do not work with the Samsung 2233RZ and
the NVidia 3D Vision setup. While it does work with the 191.87 driver.

Yet, the same hardware works with Ubuntu 10.04 Linux and the latest
NVidia Quadro Linux driver, 256.35 (after editing /etc/xorg.conf to
enable Stereo and disable the Composite extension).

So if you are willing to run Linux (or dual boot), you have a much
better change of getting your setup to work.

Good luck!
I got 3D vision working in windows with Quadro driver 191.87 and the
most recent 3D vision driver. To enable stereo for Chimera, open the
Nvidia control panel, choose "Manage 3D settings", then make the
following changes:

Stereo-Display mode: Generic Active Stereo (With NVIDIA IR-emitter)*
Stereo -Enable: On

*note: if your card has an on-board DIN connector, you would choose
that option with the NVIDIA IR emitter instead. You don't see any
flickering with the DIN connector. With a usb connection only, you'll
see occasional flickering.

As far as I can tell, the settings for 3D vision in games (the consumer
settings) are not compatible with the settings for professional 3D
applications like Chimera. In other words, if you enable 3D vision
through the link in your Nvidia programs folder, you are enabling it
for games, not for Chimera. For Chimera, use the method above.

Finally, make sure you have only one monitor enabled and that the
monitor refresh rate is 120Hz. I run two monitors normally, and if I
want to use chimera and 3Dvision I usually have to disable my non-3D
LCD monitor and then reboot the system.
Chimera developers,

I just bought the Nvidia 3D Vision Kit, because i was interested in the
3D Visualisation of it. First I tried it with the latest drivers from
Nvidia's Homepage. (Quadro Driver Version: 258.49 & 3Dvision 258.49
). I changed the Settings in the NV Control Panel (for Stereo output).
Sequential Stereo worked fine in an other 3D Application. But when i
change the view settings in chimera (sequential Stereo) i get that
error: (After The Error MSG ist Quits and displays the Exit Code 3)

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Chimera\bin\pythonw.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Then i was looking for hints to solve that problem i found following
article. <a moz-do-not-send="true"

There you mentioned that its probably a problem with the "new" drivers
(197.XX). So I installed the driver that had been recommended by you.
(Quadro Drv. 191.87 + 3D Vision 191.00). The Problem was that this 3D
Vision driver won't support my LCD, its an Acer GD245HQ). I have
installing it "manually" it won't activate the shutter glasses when
Sequential Stereo is switched "on" in chimera (Shutter doesnt even work
in games or any other Application) That means that the 3D-Vision driver
is to blame. 197.03 Will recognize my LCD, but that won't work with
chimera.

Tried also QDRO 191.87 & 3DVision 258.49 (but theres no way to run
the 3DVision Setup)

Have you got an idea on how to fix that Problem? That would be really
great!

This is my System Configuration:
Intel Pentium E5200 @ 3.5GHz
PNY Quadro FX 570
4GB Ram
Windows 7 64 Bit
Acer GD245HQ

Thank you so much for your help!

Best regards,
