"Hi Martin,
The "Pivot" function sets the center of rotation for the whole view, for
when you rotate everything with the mouse. It does not rotate the bond. If
you want to rotate the bond, instead use the "Bond rotation" mouse mode, the
icon much further right on the same toolbar as shown in your image.
