[Chimera-users] Chimera on macOS Catalina (10.15)

Hi Chiara,

I use Chimera 1.14 on macOS Catalina and the File / Open... dialog works fine including for multiple files.

Catalina now requires applications to ask for access to Desktop, Downloads and Documents folders and that is also working fine for me, but may be somehow the cause of your problem, like maybe you accidentally clicked Deny one time when asked whether Chimera should be allowed access. If that is the issue you can fix it by looking at macOS system preferences, Security & Privacy, Files and Folders, where it lists which applications have permission to read your directories, and there are checkboxes to enable reading directories for each app and you can try enabling UCSF Chimera access there.

If that does not work, use Chimera menu Help / Report a Bug... and we will investigate further.
