[Chimera-users] model panel: long 'clicking time'

Hi Julian,
The model panel rebuilds its table whenever a model changes, or is opened or closed. This was slowing down scripts that opened/closed lots of models and therefore this delay was inserted to allow multiple open/close/change events to result in only one rebuild of the table (or at least, fewer rebuilds). I need to think about how to remedy the visually slower response you’re seeing.
In the interim, you could edit line 807 of Chimera.app/Contents/Resources/share/ModelPanel/base.py and change to 500 to 50, which will change the delay from a half second to a twentieth of a second.
